Highlights: Great Zimbabwe Ruins, Bulawayo, Matobo Hills, Hwange National Park, & Victoriafalls
Day 1 & 2: Spend 2 nights near Masvingo at The Great Zimbabwe Ruins (one of Zimbabwe’s four World Heritage sites) to visit the most spectacular ruins in Africa, south of the Sahara.
Day 3 & 4: Proceed from here for 2 nights at the rugged granite wilderness of the Matobo Hills National Park near Bulawayo (also a World Heritage site). Places of interest are Rhodes’ grave, World’s View, the Kame Ruins, Chipangali Wildlife Orphanage and the Natural History Museum.
Day 5 & 6: are spent in Zimbabwe’s premier game reserve, the HwangeNational Park, before moving on to
Day 7 & 8: the Victoria Falls , “Mosi oa Tunya”, the smoke that thunders (another World Heritage site). Activities at Victoria Falls include a visit to the 1700m long falls, sun-downer cruises on the Zambezi River, helicopter flights over the falls, bungji jumping off the Victoria Falls bridge, white water rafting on the Zambezi River, jet-boat rides, elephant rides and much more.
Day 9: Return Journey.
