Pilanesberg National Park

Pilanesberg National Park

The most accessible of the major South African reserves, the Pilanesberg is located just one and a half hours drive north-west of Johannesburg and Pretoria. The park offers a number of luxurious lodges as well as two rest camps in a malaria- free zone.

This unusual reserve, which is the sixth largest national park in South Africa, is set high in the Pilanesberg range, traversing the floor of an ancient and now long extinct volcano, providing a number of interesting habitats for the varied fauna and flora of the park.
